Psilo Mart is committed to testing the potency and safety for all of its mushroom products intended for sale. We take pride in being the 1st Amanita Mushroom Company to work with Analytical Laboratories to fund shelf studies, increase column capacity and assist in developing testing standards for active ingredients Muscimol, Ibotenic Acid and Muscarine. We also test to ensure there is no Psilocybin, Psilocin or Cannabinoids present unless stated otherwise.
Testing Amanita Muscaria Mushrooms
Analytical reports of dried Amanita Mushrooms are critical to our proprietary formulations and product development strategy. Once Amanita mushrooms are harvested, they undergo an industry leading paraboiling, dehydration and drying process to remove any toxins. Once fully cured, we send samples off for a High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) test to determine initial potency of the batch. Although properly vacuum sealed Amanita Mushrooms have a two year shelf life, Psilo Mart tests random batches every four months to ensure dried Amanita Mushrooms have not degraded in potency or oxidized.
Another component to Psilo Mart's dried Amanita Mushroom testing strategy is a heavy metals analysis. Amanita Mushrooms grow wild in boreal forests, thus posing a risk of high levels of Lead, Cadmium, Arsenic, Mercury, Nickel, Antimony, Silver and Tin. Through Plasma Mass Spectrometry, Psilo Mart analyzes all of these heavy metals down to the microgram (ug/g).
